GIVE A GIFT, PROTECT THE BACKCOUNTRY

This holiday season, don't your friends and loved ones deserve something special? Give the gift of a Washington

snow and cedar - credit marcelebrate
Trails Association membership. It's a simple gift to give and helps the trails you love.  Photo by 'marcelebrate.'

  • give ten gifts in one! Place your gift membership order now and WTA will send out a special membership package. Your giftee will thank you now and think of you when each new issue of Washington Trails arrives.
  • support a good cause with your gift giving! WTA is a hard-working, non-profit organization. Your gift won't gather dust or be left in the closet...it will accomplish good work for hikers.
  • build the hiking community! By reading Washington Trails, WTA members develop an interest in and sense of connection to our favorite wild places. If the hikers you know aren't reading Washington Trails, they're missing out.
  • GIVE A GIFT MEMBERSHIP TODAY!

Thanks, Volunteers!

Posted November 19, 2008 by Andrew Engelson

Seeing hundreds of happy volunteers packed into the meeting room at the Seattle REI was an inspiring sight! WTA will likely break 80,000 trail work hours this year, so THANK YOU! Our volunteers in the Olympics and Southwest Washington still have time to sign up for their WTA appreciation parties!

Shi Shi Beach

Shi Shi Beach

Shi Shi Beach is a wonderful destination in any season - there is no better place to
experience the strength of the ocean, the majesty of sea stacks, the wide expanse of beach,
and small creatures in tidepools. A fall or winter visit, however, allows you to roam this special
place alone and really experience its raw power.  Photo by Carlos Maxwell.
